Shipping, Processing & Cancellation Policy

At Simply Shrimply, the health and safety of our livestock is our highest priority. Because we ship live aquatic animals, we follow structured handling and shipping procedures designed to minimize stress and transit risk.

By placing an order, you agree to the policies outlined below.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–7 business days.

Processing time allows us to:

  • Inspect livestock for health and quality

  • Monitor stability before shipment

  • Prepare insulated packaging

  • Evaluate current and destination weather conditions

  • Schedule safe shipping windows

Processing time does not include transit time.

During peak periods or weather-related delays, processing may extend slightly beyond 7 business days. Customers will be notified if significant delays occur.

2. Shipping Schedule

To protect livestock from weekend carrier delays, we ship Monday through Wednesday only.

We do not ship on Thursdays or Fridays.

Orders placed later in the week may ship the following Monday or Tuesday depending on processing time and weather safety.

This schedule is strictly followed to ensure livestock safety.

3. Weather & Safety Holds

Animal safety comes first.

If extreme weather conditions exist at origin, destination, or along transit routes, including:

  • Extreme heat

  • Freezing temperatures

  • Severe storms

  • Carrier service disruptions

We reserve the right to delay shipment until conditions are safe.

Customers will be notified if an order is placed on hold for weather protection.

4. Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only before shipment.

If an order is canceled prior to shipping, a 10% cancellation fee will be deducted from the total order amount.

This fee covers:

  • Payment processing fees

  • Administrative handling

  • Livestock reservation time

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

5. Delivery Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate and complete shipping address

  • Ensuring someone is available to receive the shipment

  • Retrieving packages promptly upon delivery

Risk transfers to the customer once the package is accepted by the shipping carrier.

Simply Shrimply LLC is not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays

  • Lost or stolen packages

  • Incorrect shipping information

  • Failed delivery attempts

6. Live Arrival Reporting

All Dead On Arrival claims must follow our official DOA Policy, including the required 6-hour reporting window and documentation requirements.

Failure to follow DOA procedures voids eligibility for review.

No Return Policy

All Sales Are Final

Due to the sensitive and perishable nature of live aquatic livestock, all sales are final.

We do not accept:

  • Returns

  • Refunds

  • Exchanges

This policy applies to:

  • Live shrimp

  • Live fish

  • Aquatic plants

  • Botanicals

  • Dry goods

  • Accessories

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be returned.

Why All Sales Are Final

Live animals cannot be safely restocked after shipment. For biosecurity and livestock protection reasons, we maintain a strict no-return policy.

The only exception is approved claims under our Dead On Arrival Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the livestock.

We are not responsible for:

  • Improper acclimation

  • Incorrect tank parameters

  • Incompatible tank mates

  • Loss of other livestock

  • Indirect or consequential damages
